By train


There are two railway stations in Lille:  Lille-Flandres and Lille-Europe, about 400m apart.

-  Lille Europe station receives TGVs from every region in France, as well as the London Eurostar and the Brussels Thalys/Eurostar. 

-  Lille Flandres station is the final stop for TGVs arriving from the Gare du Nord in Paris.

 

 

Within Lille

 

Lille has a metro, and a map is available on www.transpole.fr.  Rihour station is one or two stops from the railway stations, is located in the centre of Lille, and is five minutes’ walk from the Nouveau Siècle.

By air

 

Lille Lesquin airport is 10 km from the city centre, and has a free shuttle service (+33 891 673210) to Lille Flandres station, journey time 15 minutes. The service is hourly from 05.00 to 23.00 (Mondays to Fridays), from 05.30 to 18.30 (Saturdays), and from 10.30 to 22.30 (Sundays).   The return shuttle service stop is located in rue Le Corbusier, Euralille Center, next to Lille Europe station.  This return service is hourly from 05.00 to 22.00 (Mondays to Fridays), from 05.00 to 18.00 (Saturdays), and from 10.00 to 22.00 (Sundays).  A single costs 4.60 €.   More information is available on www.lille.aeroport.fr and +33 3 20 49 68 68.

 

Paris Roissy Charles De Gaulle airport, north of Paris, has an airport station, with trains direct to Paris centre (with the RER) or trains direct to Lille centre (with the TGV).   Trains run between Paris and Lille hourly, and journey time is approximately one hour.   More information is available on www.sncf.fr (French railways).

Paris Orly airport, in the south of Paris, has the ORLYBUS service which runs to Denfert-Rochereau metro station in Paris.  Take the RER across Paris (journey time 15 minutes) to Gare du Nord, and take the TGV to Lille centre (journey time one hour), running hourly or half-hourly at peak times.

Brussels Zaventem airport has a regional express train to Brussels-Midi station (or take a taxi).  The Thalys/Eurostar and the TGV both run direct to Lille, journey time 38 minutes.
